If children of color have to be aware of the realities of racism, white children should too.
I’m tired of hearing that white children are too young to understand the consequence of their words or actions when for…
How can you deem something as racist when (not only are you white but) you are so oblivious to intersectional issues that you have never heard the term person/people of color
i dont just say shit with no back up just about every person i know who isnt white has said theyre offended by saying “poc” and if youre not offended by it thats ok but dont genetalize and say “poc prefer this term!” bc thats false
From what I have learned any stigmatization of the term PoC comes from overgeneralization and therefor erasure (like saying “I don’t see color”). But I think it’s pretty safe to say it was used appropriately in the text post (saying children of color are subjected to racism)
It also has nothing to do with “colored”
how does it have nothing to do with colored?????? how is “person of color” different from “colored”?????????
